Job Description: Our client is currently looking for part-time veterinary surgeon for their branch site in Brixton. This position is perfect for a confident General Practitioner vet wanting a good work-life balance and looking to join a well-established practice.
About the role:
As their new team member, you will confidently manage day-to-day general practice duties, working alongside an experienced and supportive trainee nursing team who are familiar with the practice’s operations.
This part-time role consists of 32.92 hours per week, spread over Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, with a 1:4 Saturday and 1:13 Sunday rotation, plus one bank holiday per year. If you’d like to explore the option of an additional day, this can be discussed.
There are no on-call requirements for this position.
The Brixton practice is looking for a vet to establish and maintain a close-knit client base, performing first opinion consultations and routine surgeries. Located just 20 minutes away from the ‘south-west sister triangle’ (Kennington and Stockwell), you will have easy access to additional support from nearby branches as well as ultrasound facilities.
For more complex cases or out-of-hours care, you’ll have full access to the groups 24-hour hospital in Wimbledon.
You’ll receive continuous support from the groups regional manager and head vet, who are available for clinical management assistance.
The practice is conveniently located between Streatham Hill and Brixton stations, just a 20-minute walk or a 5-minute bike ride away.

The salary for this part-time role, which includes a weekend rotation, ranges from £46,911 to £60,079 (£57,000 to £73,000 FTE), depending on your experience, with room for growth.
