Job Description: An exciting opportunity as arisen for a RVN with a passion for Emergency and Critical Care to join the A&E department at a state of the art veterinary hospital covering South Manchester.
This is a varied role - providing triage and care to A&E patients, assisting the veterinary surgeons with any investigations and/or procedures and taking care of in-patients.
An ability to work in a fast paced environment and pay high attention to details are essential to this role and you should have significant experience as a RVN in small animal veterinary practice (2+ years as a guide).
The hospital offers a supporting learning environment where CPD is both encouraged and funded. Many of their nurses have achieved or are working towards, certificates in further studies (emergency and critical care, anaesthesia, surgery, and/or advanced diplomas). You will have regular access to in-house CPD and 'Clinical Club' meeting are held every 3 months.
This is a part-time position – 22 hours a week (with the option to pick up additional shifts if desired) and an inclusive and flexible approach to all opportunities but it would typically entail working on a 2 week rotation of Tuesdays and Wednesday nights one week and Friday and Saturday nights the following week. Shift times are 9pm - 9am with a 1-hour break for lunch. You will be sole charge RVN from 1am - 7.30am with a veterinary surgeon on the premises all night and a auxiliary nurse.
