Job Description: Due to one of their colleagues leaving them for a residency our client is looking for a new vet to join their fantastic and dynamic team.
This modern and purpose built small animal practice in Sutton-In-Ashfield is conveniently situated close to J28 of the M1, with various public transport links in and out of the centre and the Peak District just a 15 minute drive away.
This is a great chance for an ambitious Vet to benefit from the knowledge and skills of the experienced colleagues in this practice. They are a supportive 5 vet practice, with 7 RVNs and 8 support staff. You'll be working with the two partners, who opened the surgery in 2014. One a vet, graduated from the University of Nottingham in 2011, and is a certificate holder in exotics, whilst the other is a RVN, qualified in 2016 and with a keen interest in nutrition and behaviour. Development within their teams careers is really important both partners and CPD up to and including certificates is fully supported.
The successful candidate will have access to state of the art equipment including cassette radiography, ultrasound machine including Doppler and in-house lab machines (haematology, biochemistry, EPOC, Vcheck for in-house cortisol, CPLI etc.) You'll see a variety of cases with approximately 80% dogs and cats, but with a growing exotics caseload , and a large number of insured clients.
Their ideal vet will have experience in all routine surgeries and consultations, however they are open to conversations with recently graduated candidates. You will be passionate about providing an excellent service and a genuine care for animal welfare. You should enjoy working as part of a team and have a positive can-do attitude. The role is full time, 35 hours a week, including 1 in 5 Saturdays and no OOH.
Salary ranges from £35000 for new graduates, to £65000 for 8 years experience. There is room for negotiation for additional qualifications or experience.
