Job Description: Are you a Mixed Graduate Veterinary Surgeon who loves the fun and excitement of treating all different species daily? Are you looking for a new opportunity to utilise your skills and share your experience with new colleagues?

We currently have an opportunity available with a 2-site, mixed practice in the beautiful East Yorkshire with one site situated close to the busy city centre of Hull, and the other in the lovely village of Hedon, just on the outskirts of the town giving you a great mix of rural and city life.

The practice is RCVS accredited to General Practice standard for Small Animal, Farm and Equine and an ISFM Silver accredited cat friendly practice. Their large animal office is situated at the Hedon practice with most of the work being ambulatory although they can see the smaller species of farm animals at the practice if necessary.

There is a wide and varied caseload at both sites, treating all animals of all shapes and sizes making each day an interesting one! Training and mentoring are very important to the team, and all career aspirations are actively encouraged and supported. They are a Veterinary Nurse training practice and have a VetGDP adviser and love to support new colleagues at the start of their careers.

As part of a Graduate Development Programme, you will be able to embrace a blended learning approach of training days, in-house mentoring, CPD, and clinical practice, creating a varied platform for you to grow and develop as a Veterinary Surgeon. You will be offered both supportive 1-to-1 and group mentoring sessions, for engagement and interaction, as you develop an invaluable skillset. From surgical/medical experience, to enjoying teamwork, providing refined customer service, and gaining business knowledge to support the security of great patient care.

The role consists of 4 days 8:30am – 17:00pm and 1 day 8:30am – 13.00pm, 1 night on call per week and 1:4 weekends on call.
