Job Description: Small animal practice located close to the beautiful Yorkshire Dales seeks a small animal Veterinary Surgeon to complement their existing 3.5 vet team.
The practice is located in a charming area of West Yorkshire with their main surgery in Saltaire, a quaint and historical World Heritage Site (yet only a short train journey to Leeds City Centre) and their branch surgery in Bingley, home of the famous 5 Rise Locks on the Leeds to Liverpool canal and close to the Yorkshire Dales for those who enjoy the outdoors lifestyle. Both surgeries are conveniently located for Leeds / Bradford airport and are within a five minutes walk of local train stations.
This long established and successful practice is known for its caring and compassionate values. As a first opinion practice it enjoys a varied caseload both medical and surgical, something much appreciated but it's loyal and expanding client base. They are well equipped and RCVS accredited and have an experienced, supportive and friendly team. Continuity of care is really important here and you will have scope to follow your own interests with study for certificates encouraged and supported.
The successful candidate will be a compassionate and enthusiastic vet committed to providing high standards of patient and client care. Good communication skills and enthusiasm are required as well as confident in routine surgical procedures. You must be a team player, keen to develop your own skills as well as those of others.
The role is permanent with the ideal candidate being fulltime - 8.30am - 6pm with one half day off per week, 1 in 3 Saturday mornings with a day off in lieu the following week, no OOH or on call, no Sundays. Part time and job share can however also be considered.
Salary up to £50,000 per annum (FTE) depending on experience
Hours 8:30am-18:00pm with one half day off midweek
1 in 3 Saturday mornings, with a day off in lieu the following week
No out of hours or on call
No Sunday Work.
