Job Description: We currently have an opportunity available for a positive, enthusiastic and passionate veterinary surgeon to join the wonderful team of vets, nurses and support staff at a very busy, first opinion, small animal practice in Norwich.
Norwich is a lovely city to live and work, just 30 minutes from the beach and 15 minutes from the Norfolk Broads.
The surgery, which first opened it's doors 12 years ago, is purpose built with 4 consult room, theatre, prep room, imaging room, dog, cat and isolation wards and separate dog and cat waiting areas. They are equipped with a brand-new ultrasound, digital x-ray, dental x-ray, endoscopy, tonometry, slit lamp, multi parameter units for both theatres and full in-house lab.
The successful candidate will be working with an experienced and supportive 4 vet team in a well equipped practice that sees a varied caseload with the ability to work cases up inhouse and the freedom to do so. Their head vet has a love of orthopaedics and surgery and regularly does cruciate and patella repairs along with simple fracture fixations. Ideally you will be confident with all routine first opinion work, however there will always be support available for those needing support in some areas. Certificates and special interests are supported and encouraged.
Full and part time hours will be considered, with a full time position consisting of a 4 day week 9am - 7pm and 1:4 weekends (Saturday 9am - 6pm and Sunday 10.30am - 4.30pm).
The package on offer includes:
Salary range £30,000 - £50,000 (FTE)
£1000 CPD allowance with added support towards certificates
Paid memberships RCVS, VDS

5 weeks holiday per annum, increasing to 6 weeks after 1 full years’ service(Jan-Dec).
Your birthday off as an additional days holiday (or within a month of that date)
1 weeks full pay sick pay after 1 full years' service increasing with length of service(Jan-Dec)..
