Job Description: Excellent opportunity available for a Registered Veterinary Nurse (second year student at the end of their training may also be considered) to join a Small Animal Training Hospital based in County Durham.

This RCVS accredited, IFSM cat friendly award Hospital is equipped with fantastic state of the art, modern facilities including laparoscopic equipment, laser therapy, in-house lab, radiography suite and more. They are a supportive team with very much a family feel. Nurses are encouraged to carry out additional qualifications / certificates in their areas of interest as career development is something that the practice is very keen to promote and fund.

The ideal candidate will be someone who is forward thinking and who enjoys all aspects of modern day nursing including inpatient care, nurse lead consultations, theatre practice and socialising.

This is a full time role consisting of a 40 hour week on a rota basis which includes a great mixture of day, out of hours, weekend and bank holiday shifts. Sleeping shifts are paid (in addition to salary) for out of hours work (av. 1 night per week), and the weekend rota is currently 5:8 (with days off during the week when working a weekend).

A salary in the region of £20,000 - £22,000 per year (DOE)
