Job Description: We are currently recruiting for a well established, thriving and proudly independent client in Surrey who are currently looking for a Lead Veterinary Surgeon to join the team at one of their 7 branch sites.

The branch is Tier 2 RCVS Accredited, a Nurse Training Practice and holds the Cat Friendly Clinic Silver Award. It has an in house x-ray machine and ultrasound, sees a varied caseload and performs a range of surgical procedures, with more complex/advanced surgical and medicals cases carried out at the main hospital where there are a number of Certificate Holders and Advanced Practitioners. There is also daily access to the hospital inhouse lab facilities.

The role is for a Lead Veterinary Surgeon and will involve managing the day to day running of the branch site where you will be heading up 2 other full time vets and an experienced and supportive nursing team. You will also be given the opportunity to work from the main hospital once a fortnight and should you wish to follow your own cases this will be allowed where possible.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone with 3 years + experience looking to develop their professional interests further as very little is referred and study to certificate level is actively encouraged. Here you will have clinical freedom and an experienced, supportive team behind you.

This is a full time role consisting of a 4 day week, 8.30am - 7pm plus 1 Saturday and 1 Saturday/Sunday in 9. As a VetsNow host practice you would also be included o a rota 1 night per week through until 9.30pm,

Salary will be dependent on experience, professional fees paid, 5 weeks annual leave, generous CPD and contributory pension scheme. If you are relocating then there is accommodation available short term while you find your feet and somewhere more permanent to stay.
