We’re recruiting on behalf of the Channel Islands’ only small animal veterinary hospital, who are looking for a compassionate and enthusiastic Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) to join their talented, friendly team.
The Hospital:
Just 5 minutes from the beach, this state-of-the-art facility is equipped with everything you need to deliver gold-standard care, including:
In-house laboratory, digital X-ray, ultrasound & CT scanner
Advanced monitoring equipment (pulse oximeters, capnographs, and more)
Dedicated facilities for soft tissue, thoracic, keyhole & orthopaedic surgery
You’ll be joining a team of experienced vets and nurses — many of whom are certificate holders with interests spanning dermatology, oncology, ECC, neurology, dentistry, exotics, and more. Ongoing learning is actively encouraged.
The Role
Average 38-hour week across a 10-week rota
Varied shifts (wards, surgery, lab) between 7am–4pm and 3:30pm–9:30pm
1 Saturday morning in 10
1 full weekend in 10, followed by a 5-day weekend
1 Saturday night in 10 (plus occasional holiday cover for the night nurse)
Key Responsibilities
Assist vets in consults, diagnostics, and surgery
Administer treatments and monitor inpatients with care and precision
Perform lab tests and support diagnostic workups
Run nurse consults and provide client education
Keep accurate records and uphold clinical standards
About You
Qualified & RCVS-registered Veterinary Nurse
Confident in anaesthesia, inpatient care & nurse-led consults
Strong communicator and great team player
Compassionate, proactive, and committed to patient & client care
