Job Description: We are currently recruiting on behalf of a client who are looking for a passionate vet with a surgical bias (certificate holder or working towards one) to join their team. This is a great opportunity for an experienced vet to thrive and grow in a positive surgical and medical environment.

This growing small animal practice has 2 state of the art hospitals and 4 busy branch clinics. They offer a wide range of quality services from routine consultations and emergency care through to complex surgery and management of critical cases. Their advanced practitioner vets provide referral level surgery, including orthopaedics such as TPLO's and soft tissue surgeries including BOAS. This year they have seen the exciting development and growth of a new referral service in ophthalmology and cataract surgery and are counting down the weeks until their new CT scanner arrives.

Many of the vets and nurses here hold additional qualifications and have years of experience. Our client believes in nurturing the talent within their team and provide a comprehensive induction process, regular internal CPD and a generous CPD allowance with certificate funding available.

Their vets typically work a 4 day week, totalling 40 hours. They usually work a mixture of shifts (7.30am - 6pm, 8.30am - 7pm and 9.30am - 8pm). Everyone contributes to the daytime weekend rota, currently 1 in 8 weekends and 1 in 8 single day weekends. rime off in lieu is returned for working weekends, and everyone is expected to contribute to the bank holiday rota and to any on-call where necessary. Weekend / bank holiday working will be daytimes only and from one of the 24 hour hospitals providing veterinary in-patient care and seeing new emergency cases.
