Job Description: We are currently recruiting for a clients based in Suffolk who would love to welcome a new graduate into their practice.

You will be joining a team who pride themselves on providing a friendly and personal service to their loyal and long-standing client base. All of their branches have plenty for you to explore in your downtime, including: the beauty of meandering around Thetford Priory; the theatres on show at Bury St. Edmunds; and the museums and river walks on offer at Mildenhall. Being close to the coast, there is also plenty of opportunity to take a stroll by the sea – or, for the city lovers among you, Cambridge and Norwich are nearby for fun days (or nights!) out. As well as being in a beautiful location, you’re also only a 2-hour drive from London, and about an hour to Norwich and Cambridge, giving you a whole bunch of places to explore.

As you will be part of a Graduate Development Programme, you will be able to embrace a blended learning approach of training days, in-house mentoring, CPD and clinical practice, creating a varied platform for you to grow and develop as a Veterinary Surgeon. You will be offered both supportive 1-to-1 and group mentoring sessions, for engagement and interaction, as you develop an invaluable skillset. From surgical/medical experience, to enjoying teamwork, providing refined customer service, and gaining business knowledge to support the security of great patient care.

Further study is encouraged, and within the team they have 4 vets who either have, or are working towards, certificates in their chosen subjects (medicine, feline medicine, emergency and critical care, and ophthalmology) and they all enjoy helping each other out with clinical cases.

You would be working 36 hours over 4 days per week. Once you’ve found your feet and feel more confident, they will discuss your inclusion into the OOH rota (approximately 1 first and 1 second on call in 10, always with a second on call Vet as back up) to build upon your experience.
