Job Description: An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Veterinary Surgeon to join the team at a small animal practice very close to Nottingham City Centre, with easy access to the M1, M50 and M42 as well as directly adjacent to a bus and tram stop.
This purpose built and airconditioned surgery is well equipped with a full in-house lab, digital standard and dental x-ray ultrasound, ECG, ultrasonic dental, blood pressure monitoring, laser therapy, and infusion pumps. They see a large number of cases each day which form a very varied and in depth caseload. There are a number of routine op's and consults are 15 minutes with allocated time given each day to follow up with clients, report results, tend to inpatients and carry out investigative work. As a training practice clinical development is encouraged as is good case management of both medical and surgical bias. They are currently developing their nurse led schedule 3 procedures.
Their ideal candidate would have experience of working complex cases up to a high standard and enjoy the challenges these can bring. they are happy to support CPD and certificates. An interest in pursuing a certificate in ultrasound/ cardiology or orthopaedics would be of particular interest but not essential.
You will be joining a team of 3 vets with 22 years, 12 years and 4 years experience along with 3 RVN's and 1 trainee nurse.
Hours will be 35 - 40 per week, this can either be 4 full days per week or 3 full days and 2 half days. Weekends are 1:3 Saturday 8.30am - 12.30pm only. There are no OOH's.
