Job Description: An opportunity has arisen for two experienced veterinary surgeons to join the growing team at a modern and well equipped small animal practice in Bitterne, located just off the M3 and within commutable distance to Southampton, Winchester and Portsmouth.
This practice is bright, spacious and built to the highest industry leading standards. The practice partner leads a very experienced team of 4 nurses and 5 receptionists who all share a passion for animal welfare.
The successful candidate will be an experienced Veterinary Surgeon used to the day-to-day procedures of a small animal practice, comfortable with routine consultations and happy with routine surgery. You will enjoy an environment of independent thinking and have plenty of clinical freedom along with support towards any certificates or CPD that you might wish to undertake. There will be some solo charge responsibilities on Saturdays, so someone who is confident and experienced with solo work would be beneficial.
The position can be on either a full or part-time basis with flexibility where needed, There are no OOH's, no Sundays and no Bank Holidays. Weekday shifts are either 8:30am-5:00pm, 9:30am-6pm or 10:30am-7:00pm and Saturdays are worked on a rota basis. Any overtime is given back in lieu.
